Vocation Awareness Day-Franciscan University

Sister Ann McGovern and Sister Marilee Heuer represented the Community at Franciscan University in Steubanville, Ohio on October 12th.  Along with approximately 75 religious communities from around the country, the Sisters set up an attractive display and spent the day talking with many young women about the Congregation and religious life.

Not only students, professors and families of the University attend this day, the area Catholic high schools, and various other groups are there also. The Sisters were impressed by the students from Madonna High School whose faculty brings them across the river from West Virginia to visit the displays.

Sister Marianne Peronne and  Sister Jeanne Poulton also participated in a Vocation Day on Sunday September 30th at St. Michael’s  in Canton.  They set up the Sisters’ display and spent the morning with the religious education students and parishioners of the parish talking about vocations to the consecrated life and our Congregation in particular.

Pray that young women and men will answer the call to the consecrated life and the priesthood.
